costa-rica stand up paddle surfing

December 20th was my last post, such a lot has happened since then it all just seems such a blur now. Since then I managed to get a couple of decent sessions in, one on Christmas Eve on the Bonga with Shane and another on a beautiful New Years day on the 7'8", but to be honest my head was already on the beach at Playa Guiones.

The cat is out of the bag, myself (Matt Argyle), Jock Patterson, Elliot Dudley, Simon Bassett and Claire Blacklock are stand up paddling across the English Channel on a day between 18th - 25th June 2010, one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world (so busy that they have a motorway system in place where ships on one side travel one way and the other side travel the other). Emerald Isolation - Stand Up Paddle in Ireland | Print |
Monday, 18 January 2010 01:36

stand up paddle irelandIreland, the emerald isle, poetic and yet accurate. I have been taking trips to Ireland and surfing for the last 15 years. Despite all of this, what draws me back year after year, and what stays imprinted on my eye lids is the perfect isolation and the waves !
