Extreme Academy/BUSPA 2010 Series Finals, Watergate Bay, Cornwall October 16th/17th.

UPDATED 11th October. With less than a week to go I am pleased to announce all things are in place for this years, and ready for the final SUP show down of the year, to be held at Watergate Bay.

With no wave competitions to date this year, Watergate Bay will see the best Wave paddleboards going all out for fame and glory and a chance to become 2010 BSUPA National Wave Champion. Like wise the distance is by no means over yet, and an open sea distance race will surely make the winner a worthy champion.

SUP Wave Expression supported by Westcountry Watersports (Subject to time and conditions)

Saturday Night

Relax and share the dates competitions with your fellow competitors at the Phoenix Bar Watergate Bay.
£10 a ticket which includes food and first drink.

Local singer & songwriter Jamie Lawson, will be playing a live acoustic on Saturday night.

Influenced by the likes of Crowded House, R.E.M & Leonard Cohen, Jamie will be playing songs from his debut album ‘The Pull of The Moon’, along with a few choice covers.

When not writing songs here in Cornwall or touring his new album, Jamie has been performing with artists such as The Frames, Martha Wainwright and Damien Rice. as well as having been chosen as opening act for outdoor gigs by both Van Morrison and Katie Melua). Even-keeled, even undemonstrative offstage, he comes alive in front of an audience and in the service of his songs. “American Music Club’s Mark Eitzel has been a big influence, in the sense that he sings with his whole body and puts so much into his performance. The difference is that my voice is sweeter and more pure.”
